In church a couple of Sundays ago, our congregation was surprised when the baskets were passed, and inside them were envelopes of money for each family to TAKE. Our ministers said they wanted us to do some good in the world, and here was some money to get us started.
In my family's envelope there was $40. We've talked about baking a bunch of treats and taking them to a homeless shelter or battered women's shelter. Or we could give it to a charity. Or we could pay for the groceries of the person behind us in line at the store. We want to do something kind, meaningful, and hopefully a little creative.
So what would you do with the $40?
